How to walk 10k steps everyday | Practical tips to walk 10k steps

Walking is the best thing one can do to improve their mood, blood flow and positivity. 

Since i write this blog, don't think i walk daily. I don't walk daily. Of course i think of walking daily but due to some unexpected commitment, i had to skip going for a walk.

If you are a beginner just starting a walk 10k is a big number. The best you can do is 5k steps per day.

Let's jump to the actual content

1) Why you should walk

As we all know walking is the best exercise, all the doctors suggest to walk because it is the easiest exercise anyone can do and less chance to get injured. Also you don't need anything. just you and pair of shoes can save yourself from the leg pain.

You will numerous benefits physically and mentally.

Physical: 
  • Increase blood flow
  • Burning calorie
  • Digestion
Mental: 
  • Mental health
  • Stress reduction

2) When you should go for a walk

A perfect answer is you can walk anytime but to make it a habit and walk 10k steps a day require some planning. 

To walk 10k steps you need at least 1.30 hours, and to achieve it you can split it into two session.

First session you can go in the morning, a 45 minutes brisk walking can help to set the mood and tone for the day. 

Second session you can do it in the evening.

So if you are working professional and if you get a chance to walk during your working hours. You can do it.

3) Where to walk

I am very glad to have a perfect place to go walk that make my walk so pleasant.



Of course, i don't go for a walk in Boat club road(Now a days it's most crowded place). I go for a walk in my area itself.

This is where i go for walk sometimes 



Going for a walk in a calm place is good. It could be empty roads or a park that will connect you to nature.

4) Do's and Don't 

  1. Use this time to talk to yourself 
  2. Listen to the podcast
  3. Wear shoe(Mostly)
  4. Walk in a different place or route

If you notice the above image, i didn't  go for walk in the morning, instead i go for a very short walk whenever i get little time in office.

This remind me of Great actor Sathya raj in a interview said whenever there is a delay in shoot, he go for a walk.

I am also in the same mindset whenever i receive calls, not in good mood and bored I go for walk.
